Do I need Myotherapy?

There are so many different Therapies out there, how do I know which one suits me?

Myotherapy is a manual based treatment that helps with acute, chronic and long term pain that is caused by soft tissue injury and joint restriction.

Myotherapy treatment involves a thorough postural assessment and medical history taking, range of motion tests, orthopaedic and neural testing in order to both reproduce the pain and clear any underlying possible disc issues.

Once the initial assessment is complete, your Myotherapist will design a treatment plan for you. This may include techniques such as massage, dry needling, cupping or joint mobility to name a few.

Your Myotherapist will check with you that you are comfortable with your treatment as the treatment processes, and may do some retesting to ensure you are responding well.

Post treatment, your Myotherapist will give you some exercises to take home and continue your healing process.

It is quite common to have some after treatment soreness, this can last for 2-4 days initially but will ease. Heat and water are important throughout this healing phase.
